We launched the Boycott Russian Market art exhibition
to draw attention to the complicity of world-renowned brands in the destruction caused by Russia in Ukraine. We invited foreign and Ukrainian diplomats, journalists, political scientists, economists, and influencers to the event. We showcased art posters created by artist Viter Stepovyi and photographs of these posters against the backdrop of destruction in 10 Ukrainian cities.
World-famous brands pay an average of several billion dollars in taxes to the Russian treasury per year while remaining on its market.
In the Boycott Russian Market art exhibition we showcased only 10 of them. We showcased those who have paid hundreds of millions of dollars in taxes, which is enough for thousands of drones and missiles that are fired by Russians at our peaceful cities every day. Paying taxes to the Russian budget during the war is a direct support for the killing and destruction on the territory of Ukraine. Thus, by organizing this exhibition, we decided to remind Ukrainians and the world which companies have not yet left the Russian market and continue to sponsor the war.

It was important for us to create a media resonance that would make corporations’ stay in the Russian market more expensive than normal development in civilized countries. If they lose their face on a global level, it means that they lose more from cooperation with Russia than they gain.
